SNKRHERITAGE

During the ugliest part of the pandemic, emerged many entrepreneurs and creators. Some entrepreneurs were birthed by the struggle to gather funds to keep their family afloat and some decided to take the extra free time to invest in themselves and their crafts, while the nation was shut down and unemployment was at an all time high.

One particular creator stood out amongst the rest.. SNKRHERITAGE! A black-owned company that specializes in custom sneakers and also offers apparel to enhance your fashion style as well. From the Instagram posts and stories you can see the many consumers who conducted business with SNKRHERITAGE, and are very appreciative and thankful for the outstanding service.

I contacted the owner of SNKRHERITAGE for a brief interview and here’s how it went:

Q: How long has SNKRHERITAGE been established?
A: We started mid pandemic when they put us on mandatory stay inside/ curfew

Q: I remember when you used to cut bandanas up and put them on your shoes back when we were in middle school/high school.. Did you ever think you would be doing this as an actual profitable business?
A:  Never though this would be a thing but I always had a thing for getting fly

Q: Why did you choose SNKRHERITAGE as the name of your company?
A: I chose sneakerheiritage because sneakers have history and hold different meanings kinda like a family tree with different generations. Some can take you bake in time and some are the future

Q: What services does SNKRHERITAGE offer to consumers?
A: We offer customized sneakers

Q: As to date, what was the most difficult shoe you designed?
A: The most difficult would probably be the Jurassic park AF1 drilled with a dremel

Q: At this point about how many custom designs have you done? (A rough estimate.)
A: I’m thinking 75+

Q: Where do you see your company in the next 2 years?
A: I’m planning to open up a workshop to teach classes on how to customize and start doing custom kicks and sip world wide

Q: Any advice or tips for up and coming business owners and creators who may want to jump into the business because they see you making noise?
A: Perfect the craft before you try to make money off it
